Case History
Damion, which stands for District Attorney Management and Integrated Office Network, creates software that enables District Attorneys to work more effectively – and to spend their valuable time making policy, putting the bad guys behind bars and doing all the good things that help them get re-elected.

When we were hired, the product was completing its beta testing and the company had just been named. Before designing the logo or starting the brochure, we went out and spoke with DA’s around the country. Prosecuting attorneys clearly viewed themselves as doing battle with evil. They also complained that routine tasks that took up too much time, and things slipping through the cracks, were equally villainous. That led to a brochure that had Knights slaying various dragons (time dragons, case load dragons, stress dragons, etc.) and a logo depicting a knight on horseback.

As for the brochure’s headline, we used an oft heard exclamation: “It’s just one *@#*!! thing after another."

Is the Damion campaign like other software advertising? Hardly – but then neither is the product.
